Moving Box Measurements Information

Box measurements always correspond to the inner dimensions of the box. This is done to ensure a snug and protective fit around your item(s).

Boxes are measured according to their inside dimensions. That means that if a box is 16” x 12” x 12", you are able to fit an item that is 16" x 12" x 12" inside that box.

Boxes are always measured:

Length x Width x Height (Depth) Dimensions are expressed in inches.

Moving Box Corrugated Carton Explained

Shipping and moving boxes are made of a paper material called "corrugated" or "corrugated paper".  A cross section of some corrugated is shown.

	This picture represents a material called "single wall corrugated". The vast majority of all boxes are made of single wall corrugated.
	This picture shows a material called "double wall corrugated" which is usually much stronger than the "single wall" material described above.
